Crisis of devise may spiring up in the year that is the reason why God has fortified us for the task ahead of us and blessings attached to it. Our borders are Fortified to enable us stand in time of Crisis.
Fortified = strong and secure. That’s why God told Jeremiah, “Today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured” (Jeremiah 1:18). Why fortification? Because the task in from of you is big and it will attract enemy attention and they will want to strike. If there is any hole or vulnerability in your life you may down flat.
The question is, Do you have a strong spiritual fortress around you, or yours is a holes in your borders? If you discover any leakages or hole, please don't procrastinate, Find how you can fortify your borders and keep the devil out!
If you seek fortification from man it will fail you. It is not durable and always cause unrest.
That reminds me of a masquerade story who went to heaven after a gun shot at a village in Ijoko Ogun State.
On yearly bases they use to release fortification charm for gun, cutlass etc and it will be tested during the masquerade festival. That year was bloody instead of bobbling as it used to be in the previous years. In the lineage of the charm manufacturer it is the brother that innovated the product and to be used by the younger brother and to be tested with gun by friend. Hmm! What a tragic scene! The shooter discovered a lope hole and shot only twice, lol and behold the masquerade that is standing on mortal fell and went back to heaven (Ara orun pada sorun). God is the only one that can insured you without repercussion.
Why are you running etasketa, Jesus is the only and best fortifier all over the world.
See Jeremiah 17-19 for the assignment and how He want to fortify you and I for the work. "Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them. For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee."
Let me add the story of a small family that owned some land where they kept several miniature horses as pets. One day, as they were walking the property, they saw a small area of the fence on the border of their land that was broken. They didn’t think much of it. It was a small space, after all. So, they decided to wait to fix it.
One day, the woman of the house looked out the window and saw a lion devouring her favorite miniature horse! That one small, unfortified area of their fence had cost them dearly.
The Bible speaks of fortified cities as those intentionally built to prevent enemies from overtaking them. Every hole or breach in the wall was constantly attended to and filled, leaving no gaps.
He’s saying the same thing to you today. It’s time to put a stop to the enemy sneaking through the small, broken areas of your life, and shut him out for good. It’s time to fortify your borders and keep the devil out—not only during a crisis, but every day.
When you are Fortified by God, you will be at rest like David in all areas of your life according to 2 Samuel 7:1 'And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies';
If you must survive in 2024 you need to fortify four (4) major things, I will only mention one today, next week we will continue.
1. Fortify the Borders Around Your Physical Body
Can you feel it? He’s circling. Prowling like a lion to see whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8 declares how devil behaves "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"
What’s he looking for? Holes in the fence around your border. How can you fortify it?
Take an inventory of the borders around your physical body.
Where has the enemy taken ground in your health? Does he have you convinced:
That you’ll always have those allergies?
That you’re certain to inherit your father’s heart disease?
That you’ll contract COVID-19?
Don’t leave even a small breach in your fence. Fortify the borders around your body with these simple tools:
In 1 Corinthians 15:30-35
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
- Die daily from sin and awake to righteousness according to St. Paul in 1 Cor. 15:35a
- Speak ONLY health and healing.
- Don’t blow a hole in your borders with your words.
- Obey natural laws—diet, exercise, stay out of stress, laugh.
- Read healing scriptures, even when you think you don’t need them.
- Expect to live in divine health all the days of your life. CACGHB 208 (look and live)
- Plead the blood of Jesus over your physical health regularly.
- Declare Psalm 91 protection over your health every day.
- Rebuke the enemy, and tell him to get lost!
And one more thing. Be joyful! Even during a crisis. Joy fortifies you with supernatural power when you start to weaken. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” That’s not only spiritual, mental and emotional strength, but physical strength, as well.
